Synty Studios - 3D assets
Every game needs some nice visuals to look at, and a 3D game needs both the 3D models and some nice textures to get the job done.
Lucky for me, a solo dev without much 3D modelling experience, Synty Studios (and Humble Bundle) had my back.
Humble Bundle gave me the opportunity to get a wide selection of Synty Studio asset packs at a very affordable price, and that was honestly a bit of a windfall for me.
So of course the first thing I did after buying them was to swap out my clumsy placeholder hexagonal pillars (which you can spot in the earlier world generation post) to something with a bit more colour and life.
Since then, I've been making plenty of scenery prettier to look at with the assets now available to me.
And with any luck, I'll keep improving how I work with these assets and end up with some beautiful and varied biomes.
